, awarded by the World Travel Awards, in its sixth edition, after being nominated among 18 other luxury establishments worldwide.
In addition, Casa de Campo has received a second nomination as the best resort hotel in the world, Hotel Punta Cana Resort has been nominated as best hotel green world, the International Airport of La Romana, as the best international airport, and Tortuga Bay Hotel as the best Golf Shop in the world.
The resort located on the eastern part of the Dominican Republic was in competition with hotel facilities in Spain, Dubai, Australia, China, Scotland, Morocco, Arizona, Argentina, Jamaica and the United States, among others.
The award was received by Claudio Silvestri, president of Premier Hotels & Resorts, which manages the resort Casa de Campo, who was very pleased with this award, which for him is recognition of the effort, quality of the complex, which shows that the Dominican Republic hotel has facilities that can enter into global competition.
The ceremony took place at the Hotel Grosvenor House Marriott in the English capital, and has attracted over two thousand international guests.
Mr. Silvestri was accompanied by the Dominican ambassador in Great Britain, Aníbal de Castro and Dominican beauty queen Ana Rita Contreras.

BREAKING NEWS : The final of the Dominican Golf Cup 2009
organized by the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) in Germany, will take place from December 10th to 17th in the field Diente de Perro
in Casa de Campo, La Romana, with the participation of twenty players.
Among the 500 players who participated in the first stage of the tournament, which took place in the German cities of Hamburg, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Stuttgart and Munich, four players per city qualified themselves and will play the final in the Dominican Republic.
Patricia Gapp, Knud Hartung, Alexander Winkler and Simon Schuster are the winners Hamburg, Daniela Pritsch , Ilona Westphal, Dietmar Müller and Jorge Brackebusch represent the city of Munich, while Thomas Masonry, Franz-Josef Roos, Uwe Schinkel, and Roy -Maikel Feldhuis won in Dusseldorf.
Kunio Tsubaki, Margret Bast, Felix and Julian Gutbrod Banzhaf, are finalists for Stuttgart and Frankfurt winners are Heike Thomas, Susan Liebertz, Felipe Solis Cano and Dirk Heyen.
Petra Cruz, Director of the Office for Promotion of Tourism in Germany disclosed this information, explaining that this tournament was part of the promotion developed by the Minister of Tourism Francisco Javier García.
