For 7 millions pesosBREAKING NEWS : La Romana.- The central government will give 7 millions pesos for erecting a monument dedicated to the professor Juan Bosch, that will be located in the south area of La Rotonda Park
, in the city of La Romana.
This information was revealed by the Mayor of La Romana, José Reyes, who said the funds were invested by the central government and the State Council for Sugar.
He explained that the statue will stand on a platform with star shapes, and will be realized by the sculptor Luís Castillo, from Higuey.
The statue will cost 7 million pesos and will be made of bronze. It will be three meters high and should be finished on November 1rst, or on December 15th.
La Romana Mayor explained this statue will be built at the occasion of the 100 years of the famous writer and politician.
