Representatives of La Estancia in La Romana point out the advances in tourism development

BREAKING NEWS: La Romana.- Executive from the Property Development Group (GPI), claim that tourism in the Dominican Republic is continuing to make advances every day. To back their claims they point to La Estancia project, a resort located near the Chavon River, which prides itself on being a family destination.

Eduardo Morrison Briceno, president of La Estancia, reported that this project sits on four million meters, with an 18 hole golf course, a fully operational clubhouse with the capacity to handle 120 players per day. La Estancia is also finalizing another 200 apartments which will be ready later this year, bringing the number for the coming year to 300 operating units.This represents about 15% of the total project, which is scheduled to be completed in ten years.

The Property Development Group stated that it expects by the end of the year that the resort will be the best family destination that the zone has to offer. The company currently has 29 golf courses, of which 23 are 18 hole.

Executives stressed that the Dominican Republic is the number one golf destination in all of Central American and the Caribbean region.
